To be completely honest, I have no idea where this blog is headed. If you know me, you know I am receiving constant bursts of energy and inspiration, and just about everything in the world fascinates me. My passion, above all else, is creativity. When I see someone be completely authentic to themselves, or, even better, when they create something from that, it’s my absolute favorite thing in the world to observe it. I’m also a creator myself- I go crazy if and when I’m not engaging in some sort of self-expression.
I haven’t found a single medium of art that I haven’t completely delved into- in both observation and my own creation. fashion, film, music, painting, photography, poetry, writing, sculpture, performance, and everything in between. So, if I had to guess, we’re probably headed in the direction of writing about/engaging in various forms of creation.
But then again, I am one of the most open books you’ll ever meet. I love to get personal and have no issue sharing how I’m feeling- I’ll tell you all about anything from my feelings about my impending graduation from the best university (absolute dread, grief and anxiety) to what I think about the pop culture drama of the day (Hannah Ann needs to GO). So you might find me over-sharing about the antics of the week around here.
Like I said before- I’m in my very last semester at the best university ever. In particular, I’m finishing up a degree in the world-renowned Hussman School of Journalism and Media. It was here I discovered my passion for advertising and combined it with my love for doing social good. I’m currently on the job hunt, and, while I’m open to pretty much anything, the dream would be to be working for an ad agency in the Big Apple- so hi, future employers, here’s my LinkedIn and portfolio, and my resume is below.
Regardless of where I’m headed, both in this blog and in my life, I’m excited to be able to document it all. I can’t help but imagine a future Claire reading this and smiling at how everything I ever aspired to be finally came to fruition. If that’s the case, hi Claire, you’re looking gorgeous today, queen.
And to everyone else- if there is anyone else, I hope you enjoy delving into the inner workings of my brain- I promise there’s never a dull moment.
My art piece of the day: “Something For Your M.I.N.D.” by Superorganism. I first discovered this song on TikTok (how embarrassing) BUT I haven’t been able to get it out of my head all week- I also think the art direction of the video is phenomenal- it’s the sort of thing you see in your mind’s eye when you rub your eyes a little too hard.
